Introduction

Welcome to my adolescent health and wellbeing blog. This website explores two significant health priorities affecting young Australians: nutrition and road safety. Although these issues appear unrelated, I chose them to demonstrate how adolescent wellbeing encompasses both everyday lifestyle behaviours and personal safety. Through research and critical reflection, this blog examines the challenges young people face and explores strategies that can support healthier, safer decision-making. The purpose is to raise awareness and encourage readers to consider the factors influencing adolescent health. All written content is my original work, and I agree not to modify this website following the assessment submission deadline.

Professional Profile

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)/Bachelor of Exercise Science at Australian Catholic University, with the goal of becoming a secondary PDHPE teacher. Through my studies and practical experiences in school environments, I have developed a growing understanding of the challenges adolescents face and the importance of supporting their overall health and wellbeing.

My teaching philosophy centres on creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable discussing health-related issues and developing the skills to make informed decisions. I believe health education should extend beyond simply providing information, encouraging students to think critically about the social and environmental factors influencing their wellbeing. As a future educator, I hope to empower young people to take an active role in their health while recognising that every student experiences different circumstances and challenges.
